Ariana Quiñónez is a Chicana dramedy writer and mariachi performer from Bakersfield, California. As a second-rate violinist, she has spent the past couple decades working hard to entertain drunk Mexicans during the most magical moments of their lives.

Ariana studied English Lit and Screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University, where she later helped produce, write, and direct the series of plays CROSSWORDS as an alum. She earned her fandom cred moonlighting as an entertainment journalist and podcast host for the website Hypable, and spent several years working as a teacher, before selling a rom-com feature to PixL.

A 2022 fellow in the Disney General Entertainment Writing Program, Ariana has written on the CW’s ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO and ABC’s HOME ECONOMICS. Her pilot, TO ALL THE DEAD BOYS I’VE SLAYED BEFORE was selected for Coverfly’s 2022 Best Unproduced Pilot List, and her series AUSTENTATIOUS is being produced by Idina Menzel’s Loudmouth Media.
